It's funny how we know we are doing something wrong, yet we keep doing it because it's easy. We tend to remove our frustration from somewhere else on someone completely non-related to the situation. Take the local train, for example, why does everyone keep fighting over petty issues? That's simply because someone from the work place messed things up and the chain reaction takes place. Try to be a better person over here and break the chain of frustration. Don't pass on your anger to someone else, so that that person will pass it on to someone else and so on. Don't ruin someone else's day just because you had a bad one. Keep your phone and office fights away from your home. Your family doesn't deserve your frustration. They already cooperate a lot with your office pressures, timings and issues. The last thing that you can do is throw your arrogant weight around the house. Be a better person. You know you are a lot more than this. Don't let your anger define you. Because once that little respect is lost, you won't be able to make your way in again, even if it's your loved ones. Just try to think, how many times will someone adjust and forgive you? Can you do that? No, right? Don't let things get to a point where they are beyond repair. So step up and be very aware about your tongue and body language. Little things about our own self, and yet there is no awareness. Don't cross bridges for someone, who wouldn't even take a few steps for you. Sure, you want to keep convincing yourself that situations will improve and the other person will come around, but that doesn't really happen. You just end up wasting your time and breaking your heart over and over again. Then along with all of that, comes the panic attacks and anxiety. It's not a very good space to be in. Be with someone who would travel for an hour just to see you for a couple of minutes and make sure that you are okay. Not with someone who wouldn't even see you, even if they are 2 minutes away. Be with someone who makes you feel wanted. Someone whose presence makes you feel calm and centered and not the typical butterflies-in-stomach. We often tend to run behind people who don't want us, and we give up on those who actually make our life beautiful. I have learnt this the hard way. And trust me, moving on is so difficult, but sometimes it is necessary. Nothing should be at the cost of your peace. Value people who value you, who would do anything to keep you in their life. Never run behind those who aren't even scared to lose you. Choose your people wisely. Instagram v/s Reality 👉🏻 Not everything that you see on Instagram, is the way that it appears to be. Be it somebody's life, as they portray it, or even a yoga pose. This one particular pose, I have been trying since quite sometime now. But I just couldn't balance. Finally, it happened that day, just for a couple of seconds and my sister captured it really quickly. And well, that's exactly what happened after those couple of seconds (swipe left) Point being, don't get disheartened by looking at other people's 'achievements' on Instagram. Because not everything is what it seems to be on Instagram. Take it as an inspiration and move on. I had seen this picture on Instagram by @chelseasyoga , and I really wanted to do it as well. I kept trying and trying and trying, until one day when I finally got it, even if it was just for a few seconds. Enjoy the little moments in Life because they turn out to be the best moments. When one part of your body gets weak, you don't give up on it or cut it loose. Instead, you work on it and until then, you strengthen the other parts of your body. Similarly, when one part or aspect of your life isn't going well, you don't give up on it completely. Instead, try strengthening the other aspects and soon everything will be strong. It's a very obvious thing to know, but it's funny how you don't even realize such things until they happen to you. It's amazing how your body teaches you so much. So instead of completely giving up on my exercises and yoga because of the shooting pain in my arm, I am focusing more on working out with my legs and the other arm. However, if my body demands rest, I give it rest. All of us want to bring about a change in the world. Forget about world, we all want to bring about a change in our life stories as well. We have great goals for ourselves, but we don't take the necessary steps towards it. How can we bring about a change in the outside world, if we aren't even willing to bring about a change in ourselves? To achieve different things, something that you haven't achieved before, you even need to change your actions towards it. You can't be doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results. The first step towards a change, is to bring about a change in yourself. And for that, self awareness is essential. You can't change yourself unless you know yourself. Start your day by being in silence. Try waking up earlier than usual, so that when you start your day, you don't really start by running around in panic, just because you are getting late for work. Otherwise the same panic and rushed feeling will reflect throughout your day. Instead, start your day with silence. Be in command of the situation. Be aware, be mindful and composed, and see how it reflects in your day. 'Now' has a lot of power. Come to think of it, the present moment never really bothers us. It is only the ghosts of the past or the tensions of the future that really get to us. The present moment is nothing but your opportunity to create a better future, or even better, to just be. Try being in the present moment as much as you can. One moment at a time. Things aren't as complicated as we think them to be in our heads.
