MAC Ruby Woo: Review & Look

Hey, you guys!

I have been meaning to write this post for the longest time but I just wanted to make sure that I give you my honest review so I decided to hold this post for a little while. Ever since I started wearing lipstick, the red ones have always been my favourite. Somehow, they weren’t red enough for my liking or their lasting power wasn’t that good. On doing some Google Search, I came across this one particular brand and shade in almost every post and it was since then that I fell in love with this lipstick – MAC Ruby Woo. I was in seventh heaven the moment I grabbed my hands on this product.

This one comes in the typical MAC packaging, that is in a classy matte cardboard box that contains all the details and the price. The lipstick comes in the MAC signature black bullet.

Being a matte finish lipstick, it seems a little dry in the bullet and isn’t very smooth to glide across the lips. You just need to apply a little bit pressure or you can simply apply it with a lip brush. Since this is a matte lipstick, I would suggest that you either apply a primer or a lip balm before hand so that it doesn’t make your lips dry. Even exfoliation can help to a great extent, to give a smooth canvas to the MAC Ruby Woo.

This is a highly pigmented lipstick and just one coat is sufficient. It is the perfect red shade that has the right amount of gloss in the matte category. This shade is sure to suit every skin tone. Although you may feel that it is very bright in the bullet, on applying it, it is just the perfect red.

Lasting Power:
I apply just one coat of the MAC Ruby Woo and it lasts almost the whole day for me. Even when I eat or drink, the lipstick doesn’t fade away. It starts fading very little after 5-6 hours, but that doesn’t really make a difference. Bright lipsticks, especially red ones tend to bleed a lot, but this one, no chance, it doesn’t bleed at all.

This is my best buy in terms of lipsticks. Be it any occasion, I can blindly depend on the MAC Ruby Woo. With this lipstick, I don’t really need to wear any other makeup, just this bullet is enough to make my face bright and glowy. Will I buy it again? Hell, yeah! I would even rate it 10/10, it is that amazing.

Where to buy:
You can buy the MAC Ruby Woo from any MAC Cosmetics outlet or it is now officially available on the Nykaa store.
